Slow living

Hi, I don’t know if I’ll even remotely convey all that I am, all that I want to create, or all that I can, but it’s 6:17 am, I’m sitting on my rooftop watching the sun just come up in all its glory of first light and

maaaan, I want to try.

I’m Narih, a 27-year-old multimedia artist creator, who loves tech, loves nature, loves the world. Occasionally rude and delusional but mostly nice (I hope), and I want to create a brand that speaks my truth, gently.

What is slow living?

It’s something I could communicate to you even without opening my mouth, through symbols, colors, or just meditation, but art and design have always had a way of moving me. When someone voices their inner monologues of complexities that they think no one will understand, or if I’m going through some micro-specific turmoil and someone or something I see on the internet or even in a painting in a museum or a book, I feel so, so, sooo seen. Consuming art, design, buying products created by creators who I can relate to makes me feel like, man, I’m not the only one, that every time I shut up and think I wouldn’t be understood, my algorithm, digital or non, humbles me, joyfully. So many times, but I have such an unshakable faith that it’ll eventually be alright and that I’ll find my people, like I have again and again and again.

And boy, what a privilege it is to create with love and touch something that was created with love and utmost presence and softness. That’s what great work is, it’s not force, it’s just so much love for the craft, the art of creating for self, that it eventually shines through for everyone else.

I believe in good food, slow mornings, a happy life, sunlight, warm friends, a beach day, and the cozy blankets of everyday boring routine.

Where does my brand fit in all of this? It doesn’t really, not all the time, but… it kind of pairs really well. Brand story? Think of it as your white t-shirt. Pieces curated to blend, to accompany, to stay hidden until looked at, to the joy of discovering after it has ended or in the little moments when it’s sleeping and you take a peek.

Slowness is not some propaganda for capitalism, rather a guide for harmony to better what already exists.

Our parents and their parents before them did what they knew best, they fought, they hunted, they grinded, and they gave us this good life. Our role as the next-gen creators and entrepreneurs is not to fuck the system but rather find balance and harmony for what works and what doesn’t, to accumulate all that has been taught to us and gently weave (occasionally force and hammer) to build stronger ecosystems that exist in harmony with tech as well as nature.

They can’t fight a revolution led with love, softness, and strength.
